Education in the United States has reached crisis status.  Many states and districts suffer from teacher shortage.  The struggle between federal mandates and classroom needs is real.  Poverty, hunger, language skills, racial conflict.  These realities radically interfere with learning on a day-to-day level.  It’s time to roll down the windows and begin thinking outside the bus.

And that’s what this blog is.  Just some musings on the state of education and possible solutions.  These are conversation starters mostly.  No single solution will solve the whole of our systemic education issues.  But the conversation is needed and worthwhile nonetheless.  So here we go.
